Hey, I've had a very intimate relationship with these things since they were born and if I looked hard enough I could probably pick all the 'mistakes' you can't see.  But y'know what?  It doesn't matter because you've done a damn fine job and nobody will ever know what's not perfect, except you....... and maybe me.  Wink  Very Happy

I was sitting next to one of these at the lights this morning so I studied it to spot the "mistakes".
I think I know what they are.

Too clean
No dents
No dog...

Very Happy

I actually saw one about 2 nights ago driving the opposite direction. As soon as I saw it, I thought about this model. Can't say I saw the 'mistakes' that shoey and carps can see, but I could see the ones zenrat saw.

bloody excellent work on this one so far shoey. You da man!!

Your scratchbuilding skills leave me speechless - what a top project you've undertaken Shoey. Can I write this one up for a future ModelArt story?

Thanks for the head swell guys, I did a 36 Dodge some years ago it was just after the film clip of Spider Bait's Black Betty, I heard this car was coming to our local car show so I bought a 36 Ford and modified it, the guy was wrapped and offered me big $$$$ so these are the only pics I have.
I think this may have been another 3 day build,

Re: Toyota Landcruiser Trayback

Post by Shoey on Thu 10 Dec 2009, 3:49 am

Got a bit more done today, with all the wip's I decided to finish this one before our show in Feb. Down the track it may be dismantled for casting. Like the rest of my models they all get rebuilt about 3 times in there lives.

I was thinking of doing a leaf spring front end but it is only a 75 series so I'll keep it simple,
it has got a hinged bonnet, steering and will have bright spotlights.
making the Toyota 6 will be a challenge.
