'26 Mack Hearse

Post by Guest on Mon 29 Jun 2009, 6:15 pm

This little rig has taken a while to build and has taken its fair share of beatings on other forums but I'm dertermined to finsih it as a good model looking better than it appears here.

I can't think of a better way to be carried to my final resting place than in a Mack hearse. What a beauty - good on you Dingo for trying something totally different.

Tezza as you cans ee it's much better now with the paint work as I said the first lot was just a layer of paint to help get the shine. Others just can seem to get it but at least those here can.

The white spots are not on the paint but the lens of the camera

Curtain at rear is in position, side curtains to be fitted soon as well as new coffin & shelf that it sits on. The finger print has been polished out luckily.

I like it Dingo. The bed has just the sort of shape that all the early coachbuilders used. Looks a lot better with the lower windowline to get rid of the seam where the lids glued on too greatjob

Spiritman I ahd thought of doingthat with the seam of the lid but the problem is that the top does get removed soI can place different subjects in the box so to glue the lid would ruin it for me and there's no other way of fixing it sorry my friend but thanks for the suggestion.

Is this some sort of voodoo?

Today we put the little doll into the coffin in the hearse. Slice thumb with a fresh #11 blade and sprinkle with blood whilst intoning the mantra of power "AMT, AMT, Revell Revell Tamiya"...
