Bob's Quality Used Cars

Post by Shoey on Sat 22 May 2010, 1:21 am

Here is my latest build, a second hand car yard managed by some shifty
looking dude with fake teeth. 4 LED lights up front makes for good night viewing, along
with a huge 1 inch tv screen (digital photo frame) which shows off other
used cars.
The yard is a little run down, with cracks in the concrete and a smashed sign.
as well as the exhaust splatters on the back wall and office.
the battery box along side of the office is not complete,
it will look like a coke machine,
the hardest bit to make I reckon was the bunting (small flags)
I hope yas like it.
Cheers
Bob oops I mean Shoey

Very nice Shoey , only thing is your cars don't match the yard , they're too shiny for a yard like that

Love the idea of using the tiny photo frame (it's one of those keyring ones isn't it ?) for the tv .

Yep you can get them from Dick smith, The cars in the yard were the 1st ones I grabbed for the photo. it does need old dungers to make it look real.
I should take some more pics with them soon.

He looks pretty dodgy alright, I take he's a local Rocky guy? . Ians observation about the state of the cars aside, this looks so damn real (like most/all your dios do), Besides I'm sure a guy that looks that dodgy wouldnt think twice about putting a few hot muscle cars through . anyhow great work as usual/again shoey, it really is stuff to aspire too.

Love it, especially the pic of the dodgy dealer, mmmm, looks very familiar, does he go by another name by any chance, Dry something?
Sorry dude but you have way to much time on your hands.
I agrre with the others, need some dodgy old cars in there, like a gen-u-wine GTHO that is clearly not or a GTS 327 Monaro with a six banger in it.

I just realised though , I was thinking of the wrong type of dodgy used car yard , there is the type with the 6 cylinder Monaro's etc but this is obviously the other type , the one where you can buy the cars but not register them or the real owner will find you and get his car back .

How long did it take you to build Shoey and how long have you been practicing to get things to this level ?

Poor old Bob always gets a bad rap, he's a loveable character, just misunderstood! He's obviously busy too, everytime I ring his yard I get an engaged tone.

Hey, good job Dry Sack. This only took ya a week to build. Maybe next time you could put some effort into it. HA ha. How could u not trust the guy with a face like that? (bloody Guy Smiley off Sesame Street)

Well done, I really like the flat screen TV in the window, and the bunting flags on the poles, Coz I told you to put them on.

Hey Bob, I just got out of doin' time. I need a cheap car for a "job" coming up so I'm going to make you an offer you can't refuse (or else).

Just another Shoey masterpiece and as usual, it says so much. Brilliant is all I can say mate.

Okay, wow....just WOW

Another great example of what we all aspire to.

Love the shadowbox 3D effect of the open door into the office.
1 question, what are you using for the brick wall? Is that one of the evergreen patterned sheets or did you build it the hard way?
