jezz that a bugger, Shocked  hope put a dint her car. Years a go I had a old HR sedan a bloke opened his BMW door bang the side of the HR I told him that he just put a dint in the door, He said its only a crappy old car, as he backed out I kicked his door in with the steel cap boot that I was wearing, he end up with a bigger dint in the door. Very Happy near broke me foot kicking it. Laughing

yup thats true, chrysler australia didnt want to set up the factory to make a small number of these as they didnt know how well they would sell, as the sedans wich were made here were a copy of the US models the front clip would simply bolt onto the US two doors so they imported the two door bodies and assembled them here, if u ever get to look at one check out the tail lights, australian design rules at the time stipulated that indicators must be seprate from brake lights there are two holes in the back of the brake light but only one is fitted with a bulb, the other hole is for the US indicator, sedan bumpers were fitted to aussie model with a seperate indicator in them, i tried to purchase clips for the windscreen chrome from a val dealer many years ago the bloke showed me the parts book...according to the ausssie parts book these were never fitted with chrome moldings despite the fact that they r factory fitted !

Great story. Nice to see you persisted in getting the car you wanted and still have after all these years. Nice resto job on it. Turned out to be a neat car.
cheers
