Post by allan on Fri 26 Jul 2013, 12:21 pm

Got this one off Silverfox its a old AMT kit  Streetle' Beetle, a super short beetle with a '40 Ford "nose Job", put a coat of paint Tamiya Orange on it.

Weird.
I like it.
When I was a kid there was a fibreglass kit you could get to make a Beetle look like a '41 Willys.
A really ugly deformed '41 Willys with a defective engine.

VintageJDM was very luck getting the paint on it 10 min' after I finished and took photo outside a very strong wind blow up, there was a lot of dust too. Thinking on putting black pin stripping on the body.

That is a real nice colour Allan, and even though it's a little weird I like it with the '40 nose.
Reminds me of Chong's (as in Cheech & Chong) Beetle with a Rolls radiator grille on it....stolen off his old mans car rolf
Nice little build mate bigthumbsup
