Phaeton.. I think

Post by Nota on Wed 23 Oct 2013, 9:16 pm

Back to Hot Rods thanks to Tye & the Silver Fox. I think this is a Phaeton or a Vicky, not sure but doing a four seater is a bit of fun
Getting it down low with a hemi & Parts Box wheels. Zedded the frame at the firewall & underslung it at the back. Haven't decided on a screen yet
Thanks for looking

Brian

Think you find its crossed of a Vicky and a Phaeton, as far as I know there was never a real one built so its a real body, would look cool candy red/white in side and white wall tyres to make the Silverfox happy rolf

Nice.  I'd use a tall model T type screen combined with the highest induction set up you can come up with.

Thanks for the feedback. Now I know what I'm building!!
Colour was fixed but now I don't know... I seem to have developed a two colour theme with my other builds (see below!)  & was going to go traditional satin black body & valve covers & hemi orange engine, chassis, running gear & wheels. I  thought I would have a go at some orange pinstriiping on the body & interior to make it a little different. However..... copper sounds good!
Wheels are very good & come with the drum backing plates. Casting is very fine & clean. I'm using the Parts Box drop axle too. Looking at this old photo makes you realise how the right wheels make the model.
Thanks again
Brian

Nice looking work so far. Love the colour with the black accent strip.
