1978 Firebird sports wagon

Post by allan on Fri 08 Aug 2014, 2:37 pm

This will be a quick build as there is not may parts in it & a snapfix
Is a USAIRFIX Firebird Type K sportswagon,
As you can see there is not much of a engine in it but if you had a 1/24 Firebird kit you could change it so you have a better detail engine in it. Would of done it but don't have spare one to cut up. Colour is Tamiya titanium silver X-32.
GM built three of these wagons up one as a Camaro, one as a Firebird, last one was a Firebird Trans am, the Camaro & trans am were crushed by GM.
the body on this was molded in a dark silver colour, the silver I used is a lighter shade colour.

C'mon Allan!... stop teasing... show us what you've got in
store for this model. I'm sure even though it's a "snappy"
kit, it's gonna turn out something awsome!. I'm watchin' !

I've seen a resin kit of the Camaro wagon and a Cuda wagon by the same guy....I just can't seem to find them again, I'd like to do the Cuda.
Any further thoughts on the colour yet?

70cudatj, The Camaro kit came out under Lindberg brand so did this one, I have a very nice 1969 resin Camaro wagon to build up one day, Smile  Its posted on here some were. I am thinking on repainting it Tamiya Sky Blue X-14, Very Happy  also have a dark blue Firebird decal for the bonnet, inside will be flat blue. The real car is silver with red inside.

I'll build mine as wagons but if I could score another one I'd fill the sides in and make a sedan delivery out of them.
