DeeCee wrote:...Now i have to make a full set of headers for a V16,  now that will be a job and a half i think.

Only if you are thinking in terms of V12s.  If you think in terms of V8s it's two jobs.
Personally i'd think of it as half a Challenger 1 or Showboat.
Very Happy

Nice work Dale, I'm keen to see how you make a set of headers for the Caddy V16.
I've not been able to build anything that looks the goods on my Caddy hot rod yet, I'll be watching.

And moving on to the rear suspension, i started with this diff, which is the standard piece for the car.

Thanks heaps guys, this one has been a real challenge, but i am getting here.
Paint is done, and so is the rear end, i have gone with a dual airbag per side set-up,
with alloy tube housing.

And here is a hint of the paint job..

Also had to make windows for it.

Should be finished in a couple of days i hope.

Thanks Alan, TJ, and Tim, i feel naked if i don't have over spray on at least one finger or thumb mate,
as there is always some on my nails....
Well, the job i have been dreading, EXTRACTORS!
Had to make 16 pipes out of solder,.

I will finish final assembly and polish in the next couple of days i reckon, then you will see the final result.

Thanks

Those pipes are looking nice Dale, the hardest part of the solder headers I reckon is not marring them with tools, I had some tight bends with mine and had to use forms and I made a tool out of aluminium tube with a flared end to help with bending the tight bends.

Sorry to hijack your thread mate, just wanted to share my experience.
