Tamiya 300SL Gullwing

Post by bennyg on Thu 21 May 2015, 11:25 pm

Hi fellas. Long time away. I'm posting this build here first. Ive just started the new Tamiya Mercedes 300SL Gullwing. The chassis went together well. The body did'nt have too much clean up required. I'm building this box stock. Cheers.

LOVE this. I have a thing for Merc's. I would be driving a finnie if I could afford it and who could not love the coupes of the 60's and 70's.

Watching this ......

Hi fellas. Got the body painted. Going to polish it with tamiya compounds. Hopefully it will come up a treat. Cheers.

Looks sweet.

Looked at this kit a few times.

Got a soft spot for classic European cars.

I've got to fix one of the doors. Will need to be sanded back a bit and re filled in. Will post more pics when that's done. Cheers.

While you're att it, deep six that old engine and fit something bigger, then get rid of those weird looking wheels and add something BIG with maybe six or eight bot Brembo calipers on drilled discs behine them.

Some things should never be left stock! Laughing Laughing Laughing
