Tamiya is still the go Col, nice clean lines, if you burnish down well there is little to no bleed.
After looking at some of your posts I twigged who you are. You used to do the model column in Custom Rodder many moons ago, think I may have even got my first Monaro from you. Correct me if I am wrong.
Cheers

Blue painters tape is nice in thin strips, but I'd only use that if you're using an airbrush for more control over the amount of paint that goes on, so as to avoid buildup.

I'm with Tubman, Tamya tape is as good as it gets for models.

If using it over a door shit line I'll slip a little dab of maskol in the crack beneath the tape just to be sure the paint doesnt run through the gap.

G'day Col... Apologies for late reply. Mate the tape I swear by is "Bear Brand" Norton Painters Gold. It's made from Japanese flat paper, is low tack & bleed resistant. You get nice sharp lines is easily contoured to the shapes you want (cut in thin strips of course), and leaves no sticky residue for up to 60 days!
Comes in a 50M x 24mm roll ($10.98 at Bunnings).

Hope this info helps....

Col it's up to you mate, but if you want to "try before you buy", I'm quite happy to send you some to save you the expense of a whole new roll.
If you want, text me your postal address to 0450 073 150 and I will send you some to try. Happy to help out mate!

Cheers
