57 Del Rio

Post by DeeCee on Fri 12 Feb 2016, 9:17 pm

We have all heard of Pro Street, Pro Touring, Resto-mod etc, well, i am adding another category, Pro Family.....
A class the whole family can enjoy, FAST!!!

All these kits i have seen done are all stock bar 1, which was a very nice low one.  (GM you know who you are ).
I am going outside this trend,  as i do not do " stock" , so i have removed all the inner guards,  channeling the chassis with a big set of Aoshima wheels.

This is going to be one cool build. Have you got any colours in mind yet? Always though this would be a nice kit to cross with a late model mustang.

Here goes again, i seems the forum pic uploader had an issue......

I have got the engine options sorted, a small pair of turbo's, way down low for the subtle appearance.
and then started planning the intercooler/support panel etc.

Sorry to disappoint Allan, but i ain't wasting a Hemi on a Ford....   Laughing
On to the rear end, i beefed up the diff, as it was pretty pathetic.

Moved the spring hangers from outside the chassis to the inside..

Then set out to fabricate the control arms.

A few more mounts to be made yet, then on to the front end..
