70 dodge challenger

Post by vcv8273 on Thu 10 Mar 2016, 12:26 am

Hi have been going through some of my unfinished projects and decided to pull this one out clean it up and see where I was up to on it. Was originally a stock build of the 70 dodge challenger t/a that I built about 20 years ago but looked sad sitting on the shelf with the decals starting to deteriorate, no clear coat and silver paint for the trims. I also had a revell 55 jukebox ford that I picked up cheap that was partially built so decided to combine the two. Had the body in oven cleaner for at least a month and all it did was remove the brush painted parts and the decals but wouldn't budge the orange paint which is duplicolor orange. Glad it didn't though as after a good clean a little rub back and a polish with the meguirs its come up real nice. Will clear coat it once I have done all the mods and bmf. Will be modifying the stock interior door trims to fit and still undecided if I am going to risk opening the boot. Found the rims and tyres in the parts box Have just finished up modifying and painting the cage and hope to have some pics of it tomorrow. Cheers and thanks for looking Steve. Any comments welcome
