57 chrysler 300c custom

Post by vcv8273 on Sat 16 Apr 2016, 11:13 am

This is the amt 57 Chrysler 300c custom that I started a few years ago and thought it was time to get it finished. Still in mock up at the moment but have painted it in duplicolor rattle can black and have bmf it but still need to clear coat it. Am using the kits hemi supplied with the kit. Have made up my own style of hubcaps which i found some caps in the parts box, drilled holes in the centre of them and installed some spinners i found in the parts box  and added some red accents to them. First photo shows the original caps supplied with the kit. Interior is black and white with bmf accents. Cheers and thanks for looking. Any comments welcome

Nice job mate, like the hubcap mods, suits it.
You say you've BMF'd it and your going to clear coat again, doesn't that dull the BMF? Or is there some sort of trick/special clear you use?
Every time I've tried to clear over BMF it dulls it off. Do tell.

Cheers

Thanks for your comments. Allan have fun with the bmf as it turned into a bit of a chore for me as the trims are so wide it was real hard to get that real smooth finish especially around the quarter vent windows. As for the bmf Antwon I found the new bmf seems to stick better so Im able to give it a real good polish with my meguirs to get that extra shine before I clear coat it. I only use duplicolor clear coat and this seems to work for me. Cheers Steve
