This build continues to inspire me. I have about 8 Allison motors sitting in my stash. Really do have to put them in some vehicles.

There he is!! G'day mate, Welcome aboard aus Good to see you here.
I'm still deciding how to paint this beast, I bought some Olive Drab today so I guess that's what it's going to get, and yes it's going to have the invasion stripes for sure.
Cheers TJ

Despite having a really crappy cold for the past few days, I did manage to get a couple of things done on this over the weekend.
I've continued with the infills for the rear floorpan and fender inners....

And I think the cold and flu medicine must have made me delirious, I cut the boot out ... why? Still asking myself that Shocked

Oh and I added fuel filler hatches ... and more rivets, lots more rivets, did I mention I was doing rivets on this ... rivets rivets rivets arrgg!! bricks

Nice one Carps......Great work Tim, this just gets better every post. You make so much work for yourself sometimes but it always ends up being something spectacular.
We're all watching. (It's gonna come out heaps better than the Rolls)

I fully appreciate all the comments that have been posted on this .....W.T.F. build.
Seriously TJ;.....all those holes are going to need rivet heads.....How many again ?
How come the bonnet corners are round?
How about you drop back on the amount of cough mixture for a bit and see how you go....just a comment.

OK, I can't seem to find the LMAO emoticon...
Tim, you were right: I needed to join this forum. Members actually do have a sense of humour here. I just have to figure out how to draft my comment NOT with yellow fonts upon a light green background.
My solution to your 'why I opened the the boot' question is: so that you have a realistic looking panel line there after you glue the painted boot back on. Very Happy

Cheers boys,
Clea, the rivets will be 'flush' so to speak mate, hopefully picked out by a dark wash after and maybe a pre-colour with black under the body colour. Didn't want to try painting them on like you see on some aircraft themed car builds, see what it looks like, could be shite, could be cool Wink
The bonnet corners are like that in the kit, an oversight by me I guess, still not too late to fix em though twothumbsup
Hmm, beer or cough mixture, can't remember which one was doctors orders ???? Which one should I knock back on?

Had a crack at some detail under the boot lid and hinged it too;

still needs a little finessing

G'day Csaba.
Here's the closest thing to LMAO rolf = rolling on the floor laughing ...
I just use the quick reply window at the bottom of the page and that doesn't have the yellow font Wink
Thanks mate for explanation on the boot lid, now it won't be a surprise down the track when I try to paint all this madness twothumbsup

So cool, so insane at the same time too mate, your scratch building and imagination is left field for sure.
I reckon a couple of those little bombs would fit perfectly in the boot as military NOS.... Surplus stock of course.. Razz

I find beer works better than cough syrup, it doesn't clear the head, but it tastes way better... Shocked
