48 Lincoln

Post by DeeCee on Wed 01 Jun 2016, 8:14 pm

This would have to be the ugliest kit i have ever purchased.  The body is in a heap of pieces,
which makes it hard to envision what i need to do.
As i am going to do a  60's styled custom, what better way to improve something, than to start with the ugliest thing first...

Now , out with the super glue and scalpel, see what eventuates.. Wink

I had one of these and intended to build a custom but in the end I sold it.
Good luck.

I would bring the rear of it out to match the fenders. Was looking at buying one of these don't think I will now.

This is done, it's back in the box. It will never be finished, and only used for parts..
After 3 hours trying to get the body together, relentless grinding, it is still 4mm from lining up, i have had enough.
I know i will NEVER buy another Linburg kit, if this is the quality i am going to get, bugger em!!

After 3 hours, this is as close as it gets.. it was about 10mm. Just  B/S  Never ever again.
I know i will use the rear end on something else one day though, too much work went into it to discard..

I've not built a Lindburg kit but I've heard they are average at best.
What a pity all that great work of yours won't come to fruition, that paint job is very cool mate, love the fades.
I'm confidant that you'll use the back for something worth while, considering all that mod work you put into it.
Move on buddy .... next!
