40 FORD Pick-Up.

Post by DeeCee on Fri 02 Sep 2016, 8:02 pm

After the hotwheels build, i will go back to a basic build this month, A revell 40 Ford pick-up.

I have dropped it a few scale inches and chose a bright orange and Pegasus wheels for it.

Cheers guys, well i got the paint done this morning, and painted the tray tonight to resemble wood.
Also tried something different with the interior, i used some embroidery thread to outline the seat, then
for the door trims, i wiped the thread with white glue and rolled it, looks better i think...
something to ponder for the next build maybe....

Gives it a great texture and colour. Top work on the timber in the tray!

Looking good so far, nice engine detailing also love the colour and the wheels.

But I do expect the photo of it after throw this body against the wall after trying to get everything on this horrid kit to fit properly, I glued my doors on Wink good luck and hope to see it finished.

I have done a couple of these mate, i know what a pain the doors can be, and usually get  glue shut, but it is a sweet  build once finished though.
Here is one of my others.

And thanks Tim. Smile

This is looking sweet Dale and that bed has come out very believable. Also the colour and wheel choice is spot on, wish there was someone local to me that sold the Pegasus wheels. Cheers Steve

The only place i have seen Pegasus wheels is on the net mate.. unfortunately.

Thanks guys, she's nearly done, let this sit for the night so the glue can set, and will be done over the week end.
