F100 Custom

Post by Nota on Fri 30 Sep 2016, 7:51 pm

Started with the old MPC double flip kit which is a sad bit of gear but has some good bits in it (already used!)
Cabin is sectioned & the roof chopped & narrowed to give more tumblehome. Because I was over enthusiastic with the cutting, the front wheels didn't fit under the guards anymore so I grafted some 40's fenders on. Wheels are from  $10 toy from Big W. Side steps will probably go & it will either be a stakebed or some sort of modern interpretation of a step side. Colours will probably come from the sixties but suggestions are welcome.

Brian

After filling & filing! A pillars to come & I don't want to think about the screen, hopefully I have something in the parts box that I can cut down...

Was going to do a basic stakebed but the rear floor of the Chev kit that gave up the front fenders made a really cool flat bed & the fenders work very well. Just needed to widen them a bit. I'll still put some stake sides on it & maybe some exhaust stacks. The rear panel has gone. I want to put a better curve on it & some lights etc.
