Yes mate, it was for a VERY good cause..

Well, the paint is done, here is a shot of it all blocked back, first with 3000 then 6000 and finally 12000 grit wet/dry.
ready for BMF and then a good polish.

Thanks heaps men, i am over the moon with the finish myself.. Smile

Bruce, i have one of those modeler polishing kits, it's basically some little pads of wet/dry, ranging from 3000 through to 12000, they are only a few $$ on the net mate.
And work real well.

-Dale I have that same sanding set. what ya think of it? (I have yet to use mine) As I'm trying to use up some of that "lift" of sand paper I got from when I did full-on body work at the garage (I had cases of "lifts" of fine sand paper ranging from 1,000 grit to 3,000 grit!) -Wet/dry.... A "lift" of sand paper is 500 sheets!

I have yet to try those pads, how well do they last? -I have used the 3M 1,500 grit pads before and they work pretty good so... I been wondering, on the "hobby" pads....

Still tho, man that Orange RAWKS!

Awesome colour Dale, and brilliant finish.
This is going to be sweeeeeeeeet mate twothumbsup twothumbsup
And like Hemi asked, how well do those polishing pads last, do they clean up ok or are they like paper and clog, then you chuck them?

tHANKS GUYS Smile   Hemi and TJ,  i do not know how long the pads will last, as i have not had them long.  Basically, they are 2 pieces of wet/dry, with some foam rubber between them to
give it some form and rigidity, which gives is a good edge for blocking back along body lines that are usually difficult to get at.
They don't clog up, but i am always dipping it into water to keep it all wet.   So far, So good.. Smile

OH,  IT'S  NOW GOT A HEMI !!!
